Barb and Eric Havill live on a picturesque farm above Keuka Lake at 8921 Coryell Road in Branchport, NY 14418.  When I met them in the early 70s, they had just made the previously abandoned farm house livable and used it for both a home and studio.  Today they have a building behind their home that has both a kiln room as well as a showroom.  Their work is available at their home, as well as at select local venues.  You can call ahead for an appointment, and also find their open sign along the Keuka Lake Wine Trail.  Havill Pottery

Eric and Barb throw pots, and Barb applies the unique glaze painting.  She typically paints hummingbirds, dragonflies, sailboats, grapes, flowers and landscapes.  It is really beautiful work.

Their work is diverse, but a theme is usable and practical pottery.  You can find mugs, casseroles, pitchers, lamps, various cooking and serving dishes and a wide variety of other pots.

  1. Hey Hey Barbara and Eric,

Good to see you are still at work! Joe and I are now well settled in Knoxville, Tn close to our oldest child, Jesse. It was hard to leave the Rochester area, but just made sense to be close to some level of ‘younger’ family. I retired from teaching 10 years ago… I stayed connected to teaching for a number of years, but now I’m just focusing on my day to day life ( with dog, Easy, and Joe). Our house is still filled with Joe’s great pottery collection.

Well…one of our big indulgent habits is watching Tennis!

    Our family is overall..quite well.

    Stay well
Stay hopeful (not so easy in this world!)
    Stay curious

    Robin
