  1. I stumbled across this site this morning when searching for a Lewis Coat of Arms. I was not able to find one that matches the crest on the seal ring I was given on my 18th birthday.

I would be interested in the book on the Lewis family to add to the several I have. My mother was a Lewis and also descended from John at Warner Hall. Several years ago I visited the on-site cemetery an photographed the gravestones therein. Mother’s father was the son of Robert Walker Lewis and Elizabeth Minor, Hunter Fielding Warner Lewis. He married Martha Elizabeth Moon (Pattie). My mother was named Elizabeth Minor Lewis, marrying my father Wellford C. Reed, in 1935. With one exception, her brother Hunter, mother’s siblings stayed in the Richmond, Va area where I grew up.

I now live in Fleming Island, Florida. Regretfully, my family line may end. My first wife and I had two children. My daughter has no children, and my son, Wellford Claiborne Reed, III had one son, Austin Claiborne Reed, before he died in 2010. Austin was born April 13, 2005.

I look forward to hearing from you.

    • Greetings Wellford. My apologies for the delay in responding – I was getting 50 – 100 spam comments a day and stopped looking at them. The spam is filtered now, and I can see the real comments.
I would be happy to mail you a copy of my book. It is not much, but was fun putting together information. If you do not have them already, I recommend the books in my first chapter – they were excellent.
If you still want the book, please send me $17.50 to cover printing and mailing. My address is Mark Lewis, 161 N Highland Ave, Wellsville, NY 14895.
My condolences on the loss of your grandson.
      Mark
